Eleven years ago when my husband left, I could not imagine putting oldest child into Kindergarten. He and his siblings were already going through so much. I've homeschooled all three children the whole way through. No regrets! I'm very thankful that I've been able to do this. It would have been so much harder had my children been in a conventional school setting. My blog, written to encourage single moms, is a result of these years homeschooling alone.
Sadly, many churches are clueless about helping single homeschooling parents. Some are even downright hostile. I'm amazed by some of the horror stories I've heard from single-mom friends.
I've been blessed with a wonderful church. You might want to share my article on how the church can help single parents. Many churches could do so much more to help.

Thanks for addressing this challenge, Lee. I've been homeschooling as a single mom for nearly 10 years, and I've written about this topic here:
