Here is an idea for teaching your homeschool children computer literacy!  The Scratch Website from MIT may be a perfect fit!  Read this article in Communications of the ACM, called Scratch: Programming for All.The article says that "Digital fluency" should mean designing, creating, and remixing, not just browsing, chatting, and interacting.  It says that just using a computer is like knowing how to read, but not write.  They promote computer programming in a fun, non-threatening way...
