When I was in school, we learned about the world in seemingly unrelated snippets. My teachers called the subject Social Studies .

• We might start the year studying Chinese culture.
• Then we'd study the Pilgrims because it was getting close to Thanksgiving.
• Then we'd take a break to study the Plains Indians and build miniature teepees.

 The College Board announced big changes to the essay portion of their test  recently that you should understand, because your teenager and pocketbook may be affected.

College Board changes SAT® essay and SAT Subject Test® requirements.

As of 2021, the College Board made two immediate changes that affect high school testing.

1. The College Board will no longer offer SAT Subject Tests®.

2. The College Board will no longer offer the essay portion of the SAT® Test.  

What does this mean to you?
