Hi Lee, I want to know since my daughter Kirstie is involved in photography and doing art show with me, couldn't that be counted as communication/public speaking? Although my daughter is shy this is the only way I can get her to communicate with people while doing something she loves. Kirstie has made good progress while doing the shows with all of us artist with in the last year in a half. Thanks,

What is she doing with it? There's fine art, there's commercial art (advertising), photojournalism, portraiture, photography for training materials, textbooks, scientific documentation, and military applications... It just depends on how she's applying the instrument as to whether it's art or occupational education. There's also the science of the act of photographing something - especially if she's using film.
I know that photography is offered as a fine arts class at many schools. Enter her photography at your county fair. Awards would help with documentation.
