Course Descriptions - Help is On the Way!

I've been getting a lot of questions about course descriptions. People are asking me to create an e-book on creating a student comprehensive record, with downloadable templates for the course descriptions.  I do have a paperback, spiral bound book of course descriptions available now.  That book, the Comprehensive Record Solution, does have my ENTIRE homeschool records for one of my children.  That can be a great help when you are working on your own course descriptions.  You can read how we did it, see what a regular math or science textbook class looks like, but then also see how "delight directed learning" can look on a course description as well.  Many parents love having the visual example.

There is one sample page for course descriptions on my website, and you can find it here:

If you are looking for a downloadable template for a course description, though, it is not available yet.  My recent book is about transcripts, and so there are only transcript templates for download when you buy the transcript book.

I'm planning to have a new e-book on how to make a portfolio/comprehensive record in the spring.  The purchase of that upcoming book will include templates for course description formatting.  At that time, I hope to make it possible for people to just type right into their own records.  For right now it's just the pdf visual samples above.

Oooooooo, the portfolio book sounds great! I'm a pack rat when it comes to my kids school achievements, so I'll definitely need to know how to cut everything down to just the essentials. How cool would it be to put together a PowerPoint show as a portfolio?
