Always Be Prepared!

Some things are just ALWAYS educational! Take Eagle Scouts, for example, or 4-H. It seems like everything you do with those programs can be put on a homeschool transcript. Look at the activities that your teen is doing this week. Can it be added to their transcript too?

As always, Let me know if you have any questions.

Christy,
Thank you for the positive feedback - that's very sweet of you to say! When my oldest was in 7th grade, I used that time as a training time for me, to work on my high school skills. Practice record keeping, read books about high school, take classes at conventions about high school. It really helped me to feel confident, once I got into high school for real!
Blessings,
Lee

BTW,
I really enjoy this blog. Our oldest just finished 7th grade. I consider what we are doing in these middle school years as laying foundation for the high school years.

All three of our boys are in Scouts. we joke that dh is the one in scouts and he takes the others along.
I have used their handbooks to help shape what our "school" year and days look like.
So much there to do.
I read about one grandma who homeschooled her grandson, she challenged him to earn every merit badge. It turned out, THAT's what they did for "school". Amazing.
